uring these days, remembering happy or precious moments is a valuable help:
I remember very often an outstanding gift from the “London Mingrone-Amsbergs”: A ticket left to the ADLON for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra on February 16th, 2008 under SIMON RATTLE. From my excellent seat I could follow every move of the conductor, which made me feel the music even more intensely.
During the break I was asked by other visitors if I was related to the Karajans because I was sitting in Eliette’s seat.
Valentin hadn’t told me this beforehand, so it was a joyful surprise and of course a special honour for me.
BEETHOVEN’s Symphony No. 6 and 8 under the direction of Simon Rattle, in the superbly located seat of Eliette von Karajan, was an unforgettable experience for which I am always very grateful.
